On the 5th of August, Ethereum (ETH) plans to undergo a "London" Hard Fork. As a result, Liquid will stop deposits and withdrawals for Ethereum (ETH) and all ERC-20 based tokens from 8:30 pm JST for approximately 2 hours.

See the estimated time of the upgrade here: https://www.ethernodes.org/london

London upgrade block: 12,965,000

Cryptocurrencies affected:

ETH and all ERC-20 based tokens

Trading, depositing, and withdrawing other crypto assets, as well as depositing and withdrawing fiat, will not be affected.

Please note that the suspension date may change depending on the status of the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain.

Service resumption:

After the upgrade is completed, we will resume deposits and withdrawals after confirming that operations are stable.

Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIP) included in this Hard Fork:
・EIP-1559: Fee market change for ETH 1.0 chain
・EIP-3198: BASEFEE opcode
・EIP-3529: Reduction in refunds
・EIP-3541: Reject new contracts starting with the 0xEF byte
・EIP-3554: Difficulty Bomb Delay to December 1st, 2021

In the event that a new token is created due to the Hard Fork, Liquid will support the token with the highest hashing rate or work done. If the less popular token continues to hold value in the long term (like Ethereum Classic), the distribution of these other tokens could be delivered at a later date.
