On 18th November 2019, Maker upgraded the Single-Collateral DAI stablecoin to a Multi-Collateral DAI stablecoin.

Liquid will support the migration to Multi-Collateral DAI and will begin the network update on 30th November at 5pm JST. When the network upgrade on Liquid is complete, all DAI balances on Liquid will be converted to multi-collateral DAI.

Those who wish to withdraw DAI and migrate to Multi-Collateral Dai independently must withdraw DAI from Liquid by 30th November at 5pm JST and follow the DAI migration guide and refer to the instructions provided by the MakerDao team.

Note: Outside of Liquid Single-Collateral Dai may be referred to as ‘SAI’. Liquid will maintain the ticker ‘DAI’ throughout the transition process to avoid confusion.

DAI Token Swap on Liquid

On 30th November at 5pm JST DAI deposits and withdrawals will be disabled on Liquid and the token swap process will begin. We will communicate on Twitter when the process is complete and normal service has resumed. DAI trading will still be available during the token swap process.

Protect your funds

Before the token swap on Liquid only Single-Collateral DAI deposits and withdrawals will be supported.

After the token swap on Liquid only Multi-Collateral DAI deposits and withdrawals will be supported.

Be very careful when sending or receiving DAI during this transition. DAI deposits and withdrawals will be disabled ahead of the token swap on Liquid on 30th November at 5pm JST.
